Girish Prabhu Collective is a Hindi rock band based in Bangalore, India. Formed in 2014, the band is the pet project of songwriter and composer Girish Prabhu who plays drums in the band with vocalist Anusha Hegde, guitarists Ashwin Nair and Tejas Yadav and bassist Suhas Gotla. Former member Abhilash Menon played bass on the debut album, Lamhein.
The band's music centers on the melodic soft rock sound, exploring a variety of styles and genres. The band occasionally works with guest artists to infuse different flavours of music. Lamhein also features songs from Girish's previous project, Zubaani with Kenneth Rao. In 2007, Zubaani was named Breakthrough Artist by Worldspace Satellite Radio.
Girish is the founder of 9th Chord Music Academy (2007), an institute dedicated for learning guitar and drums. He is also the founder of Doppler Guitars, an Indian guitar manufacturing company founded in 2011.
