Ragga Menno was born on December 11, 1973 in the very heart of the Amazon - South-America in the tropical Caribbean country SURINAME.
At an early age, his family surrounded him with music, art, Indian Culture and poetry in the hope that he would develop an interest in the arts. After performing and playing with many bands from the Netherlands, Ragga Menno starts working with KMI Music bank (Europe’s biggest distributor of Bollywood MC, CD and DVD). It was a big complement for Ragga Menno that he got this chance and opportunity to be heard as an outsider in India, Europe, UK and perhaps other countries. Ragga Menno made nice songs together with worldwide respected Indian artists as Kumar Bapa, Debashish DasGupta, Udith Narayana and Babul Suprio.
In 2002, Ragga Menno starts to work on his first Indian dance-hall single and it proved to be a no one-hit wonder in Suriname after he released his single “Doksa ke Soerwa” In 2005 he gave a mega concert in Suriname promoted by SS promotion. SS promotion also promoted Ragga Menno’s first video clip “Head Ache” and second music video "Doksa" that means he broadcast-ed the music videos in Suriname and some other countries in the Caribbean.
After the mega concert in his country of birth Suriname, Ragga Menno went back to The Netherlands and joint an Big Orchestra/Band “ The Indian Eagles” and performed there as a vocalist and entertainer. Ragga Menno performed in many countries of Europe as UK, Rusia, Germany, Belgium and Holland.
In early 2007 Ragga Menno returned to his beloved Caribbean Country SURINAME. He started to build his business and now Ragga Menno owns one of the most famous Music Café, Restaurant & Lounge in the center of Paramaribo - Suriname “Music Café AMSTERDAM”.
Ragga Menno performs yearly with his best Caribbean West-Indian friends and fellow artists Rikki Jai and Terry Gajraj in many Caribbean festival's and at many concerts.
Ragga Menno likes to make fusions with his music compositions. You can hear that in all his tracks. He not only combines the music styles but also the ethnicity of the artists. His new track "GORE GORE" is a good example; Ragga Menno (from Suriname) featuring Rikki Jai (from Trinidad) and Tina Mel (from Brazil) and the track is produced, mixed and mastered in Holland. 1 track but 4 countries are participating to create the track.
