Will you agree with us that “a journey is equally important for a traveler as his destination”? After all it’s the process of reaching one’s desired goal that gives a creative craving the ultimate satisfaction. Something similar was thought by four talented musicians in Guwahati and they named themselves WORK IN PROGRESS (WIP). A Blues/ Funk quartet comprising of veterans, after contributing to various bands in their careers, thought of coming together with a goal of creating something which all of them have in common and wish for – a band with a tinge to funk to the evergreen blues.

Welcome WIP – WORK IN PROGRESS is a Funk Rock Band with influences from classic rock bands from 70's n 80's. The band calls itself "Work In Progress" or WIP as making music is a continuous process with new influences, technology and skills. So, working on music is always in progress,’ says the band in unison.

In a very short span after their inception, the band has carved out a distinct identity for themselves among the indie music loving janata in the state. Mainly because they all have been there done that as far as the process of making music is concerned. And now they are in a look out to venture into previously unexplored territories to impart their brand of music making it accessible to a wide spread spectrum of music lovers. They are tight, experienced, innovative and above all knows what it takes to get the crowd come hypnotized to the edge of a stage with their eclectic blend of Blues
