Bio:

He was born in a highly enriched musical family.His grandfather PanditBibhutibhushan Mukherjee was a Pakhwaz player. Inspired by my father, Hestarted learning Sarod under the guidance ofhisrespected teacher, Diptesh Bhattacharya at the age of five. He gave His first public performance at the very age of ten. Later, He was groomed by Pandit Kamal Mullick and became a student of Kolkata Sangeet Research Academy – a very well-known music institute. He completed his bachelor degree in music from RabindraBharati University, Kolkata.
Current Status:
At present Srinjoy isa GandaBandhan (a traditional ceremony of acceptance between a teacher and his most able student) student of the highly acclaimed Sarod player,Ustad Amaan Ali Khan. Hegets occasionalvalued guidance from Sarod maestro, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan. All year round, Heperformsat various platforms and festivals in India. In December 2013, he embarked on a 3-months’ concert tour to the Middle East countries.It was a grand success and hehas collected accolades from all the places he performed in that tour. One of his significant aspects in Sarod is his experimental ‘Jugalbandis’ with different musical instruments and vocals, like Sarod – santoor, Sarod – Piano& synthesizer, Sarod – flamencoGuitar,Sarod – vocal, Sarod – pareddrums etc. which has been highly appreciated in the musical world. He has also been endorsed by ‘RealNet Broadband’ – Internet service-provider Company of WestBengal,as their Brand Music Ambassador.
