Debanjan Deb is an Indian film maker who is also a music director, singer,music producer.
He was born and riased in Kolkata, the cultural capital of India. He is from a middle class family. Debanjan started learning music at the age of 3 years. Then he gradually started learning Indian classical and awarded Sangeet Bhushan. At the same time he started to play synthesizer and piano.He framed his first song when he was studying at sixth standard.Later the song became a popular ad jingle.Besides that he was good at studies also.He ranked 67 at the all India pre-medical examination. But he didn't join medical colleges in spite of a huge pressure by his family and parents.
The journey was not at all very easy for him but he never gave up.He made his first ad film in 2011.Then he never look back.His last film Jatra,the lost art won 7 international awards out of 9 nominations including the Cannes film festival,BFI London film festival and Sundance film festival.
