Bio:

Folk Masti is the 4 piece folk/fusion band from Mumbai. A Fusion group combining folk music with western elements and has a influences by folk rock band like The Raghu Dixit Project, Indian Ocean & similar artists. The band comprises musicians : Vipul Panchal (Vocals & Guitar), Mayur Nagpal(Vocals) , Sachin Guldagde (Keys) & Roshan Aade (Rythms & Percussions).

Recently they are marked at Rank 28 in Sennheiser Top 50 emerging bands of India contest. Contest was judged by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy & Salim-Sulaiman.

Band marked at 2nd place in Band Baja Contest 2015 organised by NCPA Mumbai & performed an opening act for 'Strings in the wind' concert as tribute to Mandolin maestro U. Sriniwasanji on 23rd October at Experimental theatre.

Their first Official music video "Aamchi Mumbai" released on Pepsi Mtv Indies aired on 9th Dec'14. The song is about Mumbai itself. It is about loving the place where we live in and coping with everyday life, so ‘Aamchi Mumbai’ is a song to express our love for the city we live in. Also song got featured on India's no.1 web radio stations Mirchi Edge & Planetradiocity.com .

Folk Masti is inspired by folk music. Their sound has an Indian texture with western elements. Each member has different tastes which makes the band's sound unique and catchy.
